“Attendance at the 36th ASEAN Experts Group on Competition Meeting and Related Meetings.”

       “The 36th ASEAN Experts Group on Competition Meeting, the Workshop on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Market Competition, and the 6th ASEAN Competition Enforcers Network (ACEN) Meeting were held from 6 to 10 April 2026 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.” During the meeting, ASEAN Member States discussed and exchanged views on the current progress and implementation status of competition laws and competition policies, future action plans, and the difficulties and challenges encountered, as well as possible approaches to address those challenges. In addition, technical cooperation matters between ASEAN and its development partner organizations were mutually discussed and shared. The meeting was attended by Dr. Thuta Aung, Member of the Myanmar Competition Commission, together with officials from the Commission Office, who participated in the discussions on behalf of Myanmar.
