Awareness training for procedure on competition complaint and verification was held on 29 December 2023 at the Myanmar Competition Commission Office of Ministry of Commerce.The training was given by the Assistance Director of the Competition Commission Office, Daw Wai Yee Kyaw, and a total of (22) trainees from the Department of Trade attended.

မူပိုင်ခွင့်ဆိုင်ရာစွမ်းရည်ပြိုင်ပွဲတွင် တင်ပြမှုစွမ်းရည်ပြိုင်ပွဲ(Presentation Skill)နှင့် မူပိုင်ခွင့်ဆိုင်ရာ စကားရည်လုပွဲ(IP Debate) စသည့် စွမ်းရည်(၂)မျိုးပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပြီး ပြိုင်ပွဲ နှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ လိုက်နာရမည့်စည်းကမ်းချက်များကို ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူး ဒေါက်တာနွယ်ရီဝင်းက ရှင်းလင်းဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ပါသည်။ ထို့နောက် တင်ပြမှုစွမ်းရည်ပြိုင်ပွဲအတွက်ဌာနခွဲများမှပြိုင်ပွဲဝင် (၆)ဦးက သက်ဆိုင်ရာခေါင်းစဉ်များအလိုက် ပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ကြပြီး မူပိုင်ခွင့်ဆိုင်ရာစကားရည်လုပွဲ (IP Debate) ပြိုင်ပွဲအတွက် စီးပွားရေးဖွံဖြိုးတိုးတက်စေရန် စက်မှုပစ္စည်းမူပိုင်ခွင့်၏ အရေးပါမှု နှင့် စီးပွားရေးဖွံဖြိုးတိုးတက်စေရန် စာပေနှင့်အနုပညာမူပိုင်ခွင့်၏ အရေးပါမှုခေါင်းစဉ်များဖြင့် ပြိုင်ပွဲဝင်မည့်အဖွဲ့နှစ်ဖွဲ့မှ ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
ပြိုင်ပွဲဝင်များအတွက် စိစစ်အကဲဖြတ်အမှတ်ပေးခြင်းနှင့် ဆုရရှိသူများရွေးချယ်ခြင်းကို မူပိုင်ခွင့်ဦးစီးဌာနမှ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးများက စိစစ်အကဲဖြတ် ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ကြပြီး သက်ဆိုင်ရာ စွမ်းရည်ပြိုင်ပွဲအလိုက် ဆုများကို ရွေးချယ်ခဲ့ကာ အခမ်းအနားကို ရုတ်သိမ်းခဲ့ကြောင်း သတင်း ရရှိပါသည်။
The Seventh ASEAN Framework Agreement on Competition (AFAC) Negotiation wasvirtually held on 14December 2023.
The Meeting was held in plenary and attended by all ASEAN Member States (AMS), and the ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Ms. Lolibeth Ramit-Medrano, Commissioner of the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), Chair of the AFAC Negotiation.
The meeting discussed on the draft text for the Article on Consultations; and compilation of the alternative texts for Article 5 (2) amd Article 6(2). The meeting also considered and negotiated on the draft text, focusing on concluding the negotiation of Article 5 and 6, and commenced negotiation of Article 7.
The ASEAN Framework Agreement on Competition (AFAC) was aimed to use as a legal framework to strengthen cooperation within the ASEAN region and to facilitate the exchange of competition related information among ASEAN member states.

The 1st official meeting between the Myanmar Competition Commission (MMCC) and the Federal Antimopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia) was virtually held this afternoon.
At the meeting, U Than Maung, the Vice-chairman of the Myanmar Competition Commission and Mr. Andrey TSYGANOV, the Deputy Head of the Federal Antimopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia), delivered opening remarks. The meeting discussed on general activities and work of the respectvie competition authorities, sharing experiences and best pricticesin law enforcement, the possibility of joint participation in the 4th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Myanmar Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and widening joint work ensuring for the mutual benefit of the development of competition.
Vice-Chairman, Members of Commisison, officials of the Myanmar Competition Commission Office and Deputy Head and officials of the FAS(Russia) were present at the meeting.

The Opening of the HS Code training
1. Following the guidance of the Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, the Trade Education Division, operating under the Department of Trade, is actively executing the Human Resource Development Plan.
2. The training course on the HS Code was conducted in 2023,on November 30th , from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., at the multimedia training hall.
3. Deputy Director၊, Daw Khin Myo Thaw from the Trade Policy Division served as the instructor. This training was attended with the active participation of 19 attendees.

အစည်းအဝေးဒုတိယနေ့တွင် SASEC အတွင်းရေးမှူးရုံးမှ ၂၀၂၂ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇွန်လတွင် ကျင်းပခဲ့သည့် ကုန်သွယ်မှုလွယ်ကူချောမွေ့စေရေး လုပ်ငန်းအဖွဲ့အစည်းအဝေး၏ ရလဒ်များကို ဆွေးနွေးတင်ပြခြင်း၊ အစည်းအဝေးပထမနေ့တွင် ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့သည့်အချက်အလက်များကို အကျဉ်းချုပ်ပြန်လည်ဆွေးနွေးခြင်းနှင့် ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်၊ သြဂုတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်နေ့မှ ၂၉ ရက်နေ့အထိ ကျင်းပခဲ့သည့် (၁၁) ကြိမ်မြောက် SASEC Customs Subgroup ၏ အစည်းအဝေးရလဒ်များအပေါ် ဆွေးနွေးခြင်းများကို ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ ရှေ့ဆက်ဆောင်ရွက်မည့် လုပ်ငန်းများတွင် အစားအစာလုံခြုံစိတ်ချစေရေးအတွက် Action Plan များ၊ ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းများအတွက် Action Plan များနှင့်စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ရှင်းလင်းဆွေးနွေး ခဲ့ပါသည်။
ထို့နောက် အဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံများအလိုက် တက်ရောက်လာသည့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ်အဖွဲ့ ခေါင်းဆောင်များက နိဂုံးချုပ်စကား(Closing Remark) ပြောကြားရာတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်အဖြစ် ကုန်သွယ်ရေးဦးစီးဌာနမှ ပါဝင်တက်ရောက်သည့် ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူး ဒေါ်ဝင်းမင်းဖြိုးက အစည်းအဝေး (၂) ရက်အတွင်း ဆွေးနွေးရရှိခဲ့သည့် ရလဒ်များ၊ ရှေ့ဆက်ဆောင်ရွက်မည့်လုပ်ငန်းများတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံက ပူးပေါင်းပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းနှင့် Virtual ဖြင့် တက်ရောက်ရာတွင် အဆင်ပြေစွာပံ့ပိုးဆောင်ရွက်ပေးခြင်းအပေါ် ကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိပါကြောင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။

2. The awareness training course on “To prevent mergers and abuse of market power” was conducted from November 21 to November 22, from 13:30 to 15:30, at the training hall of the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw.
3. Assistant Director Daw Wai Yee Kyaw from the Competition Policy Division of the Department of Trade served as the instructor at the training hall. This training was attended with the active participation of 19 attendees.
The first meeting of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Committee on Business Environment-RCEP CBEwas held virtually from 20th to 21stNovember 2023.
The Meeting was attended in plenary with the delegates from the Intellectual Property, E-Commerce, Competition and Government Procurement Sector in ASEAN Member States, Representatives form Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China and South Korea which are the partners of RCEP FTA and the ASEAN Secretariat Office attended the meeting.
The attendees discussed the implementation of Chapter 11, 12, 13 and 16 on Intellectual Property, E-Commerce, Competition and Government Procurement of RCEP Agreement and the methodology to move forward on the negotiations on the text and its workplan.
