The 1st Caucus of the 5thround of negotiation of the Working Group on Competition and Consumer Protection (WGCC) for the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement was virtually held on 25th January 2024.
Representatives from the Competition and Consumer Protection Sectors in ASEAN member States, China and the ASEAN Secretariat Office attended the meeting.
In honor of the Silver jubilee of the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar), the 3rd Conference on Learning and Development to support Good Governance was held in the Yadanar Hall of Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) from January 25 to 26, 2024.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Union Civil Service Board, University Advisory Members, former trainees, thesis writers, the rectors and civil service personnels, and the current trainees from the different courses of the Civil Sercive Academy.
The Opening of the Course on Civil Service Law and Rules and Regulations
1. Following the guidance of the Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, the Trade Education Division, operating under the Department of Trade, is actively executing the Human Resource Development Plan.
2. The training course on Civil Service Law and Rules was conducted on January 22 and 23 (10:00 to 12:00) at the training hall of the Department of Trade, Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Twenty-Eighth Meeting of the ASEAN Trade Facilitation Joint Consultative Committee (ATF-JCC) was held on 13 – 15 January 2024 in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Training on procedures related to compliant and verification under Competition Law Status (Full New)
1. Following the guidance of the Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, the Trade Education Division, operating under the Department of Trade, is actively executing the Human Resource Development Plan.
Awareness training for procedure on competition complaint and verification was held on 29 December 2023 at the Myanmar Competition Commission Office of Ministry of Commerce.The training was given by the Assistance Director of the Competition Commission Office, Daw Wai Yee Kyaw, and a total of (22) trainees from the Department of Trade attended.
The Seventh ASEAN Framework Agreement on Competition (AFAC) Negotiation wasvirtually held on 14December 2023.
The Meeting was held in plenary and attended by all ASEAN Member States (AMS), and the ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Ms. Lolibeth Ramit-Medrano, Commissioner of the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), Chair of the AFAC Negotiation.
The 1st official meeting between the Myanmar Competition Commission (MMCC) and the Federal Antimopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia) was virtually held this afternoon.
The Opening of the HS Code training
1. Following the guidance of the Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, the Trade Education Division, operating under the Department of Trade, is actively executing the Human Resource Development Plan.
2. The training course on the HS Code was conducted in 2023,on November 30th , from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., at the multimedia training hall.
