THE SXTH MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP ON COMPETITION FOR THE ASEAN-CANADA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT

The 6th meeting of the Working Group on Competition (WGC) for the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) was virtually held on 16^thMay 2024. 

The meeting discussed the outstanding issues in the competition chapter; agreed follow-up actions of the 5^th ACAFTA WGC; Consumer Protection Chapter to be included in the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement and work plan for the ACAFTA Negotiations.

Representatives from the Competition Sector in ASEAN Member Statesand Canada and the ASEAN Secretariat Office attended the meeting.
