VALIDATION WORKSHOP FOR THE MERGER INFORMATION SHARING PORTAL (MISP)and ASEAN Competition Action Plan (ACAP) 2030
Validation Workshop for the Merger Information Sharing Portal (MISP) and ASEAN Competition Action Plan (ACAP) 2030 were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9th to 10th December, 2024. In the meeting, Mr Iskandar Ismail, CEO, Malaysia Competition Commission and, Commissioner of the Trade Competition Commission of Thailand (TCT), Chair of the ASEAN Expert Group on Competition (AECG) Mr. Raksagecha Chaechai gave their opening remarks.
The workshop was held for the purpose of discussing the MISP Features and Workflow proposed in the Guidelines for the Establishment of an Information Sharing Portal for Merger Cases and the implement activities of strategic measures in the ASEAN Competition Action Plan (ACAP) 2030.
Representatives of ASEAN Member Countries, Experts Group on Competition from Australia Competition and Consumer Commission – ACCC, and the ASEAN Secretariat attended the workshop. As representatives from Myanmar, members of the Myanmar Competition Commission, Dr.Thuta Aung and U Zeya Thura Mon attended the workshop in person.
