THE ASEAN CAUCUS AND PLENARY FOR THE EIGHTH MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP ON COMPETITION FOR THE ASEAN-CANADA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT

   The 8^thmeetings of the Working Group on Competition (WGC) for the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) was virtually held on 5^th , 17^thand 19^th September 2024. 

   The meetings discussed the outstanding issues on the draft text which include in the Competition Chapter; agreed follow-up actions of the 7^th ACAFTA WGC; the article on Competition Protection and workplan for the ACAFTA Negotiations.

   Representatives from the Competition Sector and Consumer Protection Sector in ASEAN Member States and Canada and the ASEAN Secretariat Office attended the meeting.
