Participation in the session “Antimonopoly regulation and intellectual property: transformation of approaches in the digital age”
From 3 to 6 June 2026, the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum) was held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. In conjunction with the forum, a discussion session on “Antimonopoly regulation and intellectual property: transformation of approaches in the digital age”, organized by the Competition Authority of the Russian Federation, was also held. Representatives from Myanmar participated in the session, including Member of the Myanmar Competition Commission, Dr. Thida San, and two officers from the Commission Office. During the discussion, participants focused on issues related to laws and regulations against market monopoly in a market economy system, the protection of intellectual property rights, prevention of violations of competition laws, and approaches to maintaining a balance between enforcement and the rights of right holders. The session also explored ways to address these challenges effectively.
