Attendance at the First Meeting of the Working Group on Competition and Consumer Protection (WGCCP)

Assistant Director Daw Wai Yee Kyaw, focal person from the Department of Trade, Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, attended and discussed the First Meeting of the Working Group on Competition and Consumer Protection (WGCCP), held in conjunction with the Second ASEAN–Republic of Korea Free Trade Area (AKFTA) Joint Committee Meeting on the upgrading of the ASEAN–Korea Free Trade Area, in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, from 8 to 12 June 2026. The WGCCP Meeting focused on the negotiation of the Competition and Consumer Protection Chapter in the context of the upgrading of the ASEAN–Korea Free Trade Area (AKFTA). The meeting was attended by representatives from ASEAN Member States, the Republic of Korea, and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat.
