This project was led by the ACCC and funded under the ASEAN-Australia and New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) Competition Law Implementation Program. The objectives of Law are as follows: (a)   to protect and prevent acts that injure of public interests through monopolization or manipulation of prices by any individual or group with intent to endanger fair competition in economic activities, for the purpose of development of the national economy; (b)   to be able to control unfair market competition on the internal and external trade and economic development; (c)   to be able to prevent from abuse of dominant market power;

Establishment of Myanmar Competition Commission In exercise of the power conferred under section 5, sub-section (a) and (b) of Myanmar Competition Law, the Union Government has established “Myanmar Competition Commission” on 31st October 2018 with the notification no. 106/2018.
