The 6th meeting of the Working Group on Competition (WGC) for the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) was virtually held on 16

“Awareness Training on Competition Law Investigation Processes” was opened from 14^th May 2024 to 15^th May 2024 in Office No (3), Department of Trade, Ministry of Commerce.

Capacity Building Training Course for Staff was opened from 29^th April 2024 to 14^th May 2024 in Office No (52), Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Commerce.

The 5^th meeting on the review of Competition law and rules was held in hybrid both in-person and online on 30 April, 2024.

   The First Meeting of the ASEAN-China Working Group on Supply Chain Connectivity, part of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) 3.0 Upgrade Negotiations, was held on 22-23 April 2024, at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia.
 

     The Forty-Fourth Meeting of the Coordinating Committee on the Implementation of the ATIGA (44^th CCA Meeting) was held on 5 April 2024, at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia.
 

    The 32 representatives from ASEAN member states attended via video conferencing. The one representative from Ministry of Commerce meeting together with the representative from Myanmar Customs attended the said meeting via video conferencing.

The Tenth ASEAN Framework Agreement on Competition (AFAC) Negotiation was virtually held on 25March 2024.
 

The Meeting was held in plenary and attendedby all ASEAN Member States (AMS), and the ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting waschaired by Ms. Lolibeth Ramit-Medrano, Commissioner of the Philippine CompetitionCommission (PCC), Chair of the AFAC Negotiation.

The 32^nd Meeting of the ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (32^nd AEGC) and related meetings were held in Bangkok, Thailand with in-person and virtual systems on 11-15 March 2024. Ms. Marah Victoria S. Querol, Commissioner of the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) handovered the AEGC Chairmanship to Mr. Raksagecha Chaechai, Commissioner of the Trade Competition Commission of Thailand (TCCT).
