Representatives from the Intellectual Property Department Participated the Workshop on Exchange programs to best policy practice in technology transfer management system and MSMEs innovation in Mekong-Lancang

The Workshop on Exchange programs to best policy practice in technology transfer management system and MSMEs innovation in Mekong-Lancang was held in Myanmar on 6-7 September and U Soe Thein, Chief Minister, Yangon Region Government and Dr. Zheng Zhihong, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, delegates from China, Cambodia, Laos and representatives from Myanmar including officials from  Department of Research and innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Commerce , Department of Agricultural Research of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and universities participated and discussed.

This project is to establish a Technology Transfer Acceleration Center in the Department of Research and Innovation. This workshop was held with the aim of sharing and exchanging best practices in technology transfer among government research and development (R&D) institutions and universities in Myanmar.

At the workshop, the Director General of the Intellectual Property Department discussed the topic “Intellectual Property on Enterprises and transfer of technology” and the participants were discussed technology transfer process, management system such as the best policy practices and detailed operations of the technology transfer system.
