The stipends awarding ceremony for the staffs’ offspring of the Ministry of Commerce for 2023-2024 Academic Year was held at the meeting room (2) on 27th June 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, H.E. U Aung Naing Oo said that the government has been implementing systematically to increase the education level for the entire people as the national anticipation by planning the education reform which is in line with the current situations. In accordance with the government policy, the Ministry of Commerce provides the stipends for the offspring of the Staffs by increasing the stipend amount year by year to be able to study conveniently. On the other hand, the parents should pay attention in nurturing their offspring to become the outstanding students.
Then, the Union Minister provided the school stipends and stationeries for the 2023-2024 Academic Year to the Permanent Secretary and Director Generals for the offspring of Staffs from the Union Minister’s office, Department of Trade and Department of Consumer Affairs. Then the Permanent Secretary, U Minn Minn provided the stipends to the related Director Generals for the offspring of Staffs from Department of Intellectual Property and Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization respectively. For this Academic Year, there are a total of 1101 students from primary, middle, high school and University and provided the 35,165,600 kyats including 288 dozens of books as the stipends.
The ceremony was attended by the Permanent Secretary, Director Generals, Deputy Director Generals, Deputy Permanent Secretary and Students’ parents in person and the staffs from Border Posts, States and Regions via virtual format.
