The 17th Waso robes offering ceremony was held by the Permanent Secretary on behalf of the Union Minister for Commerce at the meeting room (2) of the Ministry of Commerce on 29th July 2023 at 9:30 am. At the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary and staff offered the Wasa robes and alms to Bhaddanta Khaymarsara and Sangha from Myothit Monastery, Pyinmana.
After that, Permanent Secretary, Director Generals, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Director Generals, Staff and invitees received the five precepts and sermon delivered by the Sangha. Then the staff offered the robes, day meals to Sangha and recited Buddha's Tathagata three times to share the merit for the donation and concluded the ceremony.
