THE ASEAN CAUCUS AND PLENARY FOR THE TENTH MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP ON COMPETITION FOR THE ASEAN-CANADA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT
The 10th meeting of the Working Group on Competition (WGC and Caucus) for the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) was virtually held from 25th to 27th February, 2025.
The meeting discussed the outstanding issues on the draft text which include in the Competition Chapter; agreed follow-up actions of the 9th ACAFTA WGC; the article on Consumer Protection and work plan for the ACAFTA Negotiations.
Representatives from the Competition Sector and Consumer Protection Sector in ASEAN Member States and Canada and the ASEAN Secretariat Office attended the meeting. Representatives of the Competition and Consumer Protection from Myanmar virtually attended the meeting.
