Establishment of Myanmar Competition Commission

In exercise of the power conferred under section 5, sub-section (a) and (b) of Myanmar Competition Law, the Union Government has established “Myanmar Competition Commission” on 31st October 2018 with the notification no. 106/2018.

The Minister of the Ministry of Commerce will take the role of the Chairman of the Commission and members are representatives from Union Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Industry and UMFCCI, economist and lawyers.
